UpScale Solutions Pty Ltd (ABN 48 679 244 592) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. In this policy, "we", "us" and "UpScale" mean UpScale Solutions Pty Ltd.
What we collect
The personal information we collect depends on how you deal with us. It may include:
- your name, email address, phone number, organisation and role, when you contact us, book a conversation or become a client
- what you tell us about your business and its systems during conversations and projects
- billing and account details for our clients
- technical information when you visit this website, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request
We don't ask for sensitive information, such as health information, and we ask that you don't send it to us.
How we collect it
We collect most personal information directly from you: by email, by phone, through a booking, or in meetings. We may also collect it from your organisation if you are a contact at one of our clients, and from public sources, such as LinkedIn or a company website, when we prepare for a conversation. Our hosting provider records technical information automatically when you visit this website.
Cookies and analytics
This website doesn't set cookies of its own or use analytics or advertising trackers. If that changes, we'll update this policy first.
Our booking page embeds Calendly so you can choose a time. Calendly may set its own cookies, and it collects the details you enter when you book, such as your name and email address, and passes them to us. Calendly handles that information under its privacy notice.
When you send us a form on this website, we use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person, not a bot, is sending it, and Resend to deliver your details to our inbox. Neither uses your details for anything else.
How we use it
We use personal information to:
- respond to your enquiry and arrange a conversation
- design, build, run and support the systems we provide to clients
- manage our relationship with you, including billing and accounts
- keep this website and our services secure, and improve them
- send you news about UpScale, if you've agreed to receive it (you can opt out at any time)
- meet our legal obligations
We don't sell personal information.
Who we share it with
We only share personal information when we need to. That may be with:
- service providers who help us run our business, such as hosting, email, scheduling, accounting and software tools, who must keep it confidential
- our professional advisers, such as lawyers, accountants and auditors, including our certification auditors
- anyone else, where the law requires or authorises it
Information held outside Australia
Some of our service providers store information outside Australia, for example in the United States or Europe. Our booking provider, Calendly, and the service that delivers our website form emails, Resend, are based in the United States. When we use them, we take reasonable steps to make sure they handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. For the systems we run for clients, we agree with each client where their data is hosted before we start.
Information in systems we run for clients
When we build and run a system for a client, the personal information in that system belongs to the client. We handle it under our agreement with them and on their instructions, and their own privacy policy applies. If you have a question about your information in a system run by one of our clients, please contact that organisation first. We'll help them respond.
How we protect it
UpScale is ISO/IEC 27001 certified (opens in a new tab), the international standard for information security management. We limit access to personal information to the people who need it, and we protect it against misuse, loss and unauthorised access, change or disclosure.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, including to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations. After that, we delete it or de-identify it.
Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by sending us a message through our contact form or calling 0411 877 833. We'll respond within 30 days and won't charge you for making a request. We may need to confirm your identity first. If we can't give you access or make a correction, we'll tell you why in writing.
Complaints
If you're concerned about how we've handled your personal information, please contact us first. We'll look into it and respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll publish the new version on this page and change the date at the top.
